WHO?

Tradies, how’s it going? My name is Fraser, Electrician and founder of Trade Shades. I started the company in October 2023 because I believed us tradies have been forgotten about as real people and Trade Shades could be used to impact our lives in a positive way.

OUR MISSION

THE WHY?

For far too long we’ve been forgotten about, we don’t want to feel disposable like those cr**py bog standard safety glasses we’re given, we want to feel more valuable. No thought or consideration went into the design of traditional safety glasses. No wonder we don’t like wearing them. We take pride in our work and our tools, so why not our style & safety?

The problem with safety glasses today is that no one wants to wear them. They look cheap, they feel cheap, they’re uncomfortable, they scratch easily and they make us feel worthless.

THE SOLUTION

HOW?

This is why we hammered down the essentials to pave way for the first pair of stylish safety glasses in the market. After endless backwards and forwards designing the perfect pair of safety glasses, it was time for testing. After investing every penny I had earned on gruelling overtime shifts to fund the new venture, I sent off the prototype pair to the testing facility to get the European and UK Certification. Thankfully, they passed and then after placing a large first order, you can now try them for yourselves.
